Grimm Fan!

I have fallen head over heels in love with this series. Not only has it made me pick up my complete works by The brothers Grimm but it has brought a great new angle to storytelling that I really enjoy. As a writer myself I often sit and 'people watch' and more often then not my imagination takes over and things like speech bubbles appear above peoples heads! (I know I am a little weird!) My artistic license in full use. This series has taken my "people watching" to a whole new level, now I can imagine Blutbats and Hexenbiests to my hearts content. :)

I also enjoy the way the series is written, The interactions between Grimm and Monroe are wonderfully put together. And Monroe has a wonderful sense of humor, great sarcastic whit. :)

Monroe is my favorite!

The Book
I would recommend, not only, this TV series to everyone I come across but I would also recommend everyone to read the wonderful work of The brothers Grimm. Check out a wonderfully illustrated book of their complete works here!

Back to TV
The other great thing about the TV series is that it is very clever, and if you know your brothers Grimm, then you will pick up on all of the little hints throughout the episodes. I myself have started to re-read my complete works, and I love trying to guess what story the episode is referring to.

I can't wait to check out another episode tonight. I am hooked!

Try it, sit back and Enjoy! :P

Scribbly Charity sale: in honor of Sir.Terry Pratchett.

Scribbly Charity Sale!
I saw this and I just had to share. Check them out here!

I think it is so awesome that they are having a charity sale to support The Alzheimer's society, but the fact that Sir.Terry is the muse to such an event is simply wonderful. Bravo Scribbly!

I hope you too will support them!

I am off to browse their virtual shelves...

R.I.P Sir.Terry Pratchett

Sir.Terry Pratchett

Dear Sir.Terry Pratchett, what an awesome and inspiring writer you are.
I have many of your books, and was reading your book "Pyramids" only last night. To hear the news that you are gone is truly saddening. If heaven truly exists then you are in great company, so at least I know you will have an abundance of wonderful conversations, belly wobbling laughs and fantastic entertainment.

You will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Rest in peace Sir. Pratchett.

Book Reading - On the Moon

                                                                        On The Moon

This week I had the privilege of getting to read "On the Moon" to second graders at an International school in Oslo . (http://www.askeris.no/) Big thank you to AIS for having me and I hope I can come back soon. :)

What a lovely class they where. I felt so welcomed. They giggled as the tubby space toads went on there adventure, and loved the wonderful illustrations by the ever talented Luz Ferro.

The books are almost sold out, yay, with only a couple more to go. Which is awesome, and just in time too....

The second edition is in the process of being published and I can't wait to see what the kids think of the new edition.
